How Do I Cancel an Item Purchased on Wood in India?


1. Cancellation in Case of Damage

  • If you receive a damaged or defective product, please bring it to the notice of the delivery personnel immediately at the time of delivery.

  • You must also report the issue by raising a ticket at the Help Center.

  • Damage or defect will be assessed within 3 days, and a solution will be provided.

  • If, in the opinion of Wood in India, the product is broken, it may be returned, replaced, or corrected, as deemed appropriate by Wood in India.


2. Cancellation in Case of Wrong Product

  • If the product does not comply with the specifications of your original order, raise the issue immediately.

  • Report the concern by raising a ticket at the Help Center.


3. Cancellation in Case of Change in Requirement / Mind

  • Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placing the order.

  • A refund will be initiated to your Wood in India Wallet corresponding to that order.

  • Cancellation is allowed only if the product is not shipped and not in production or pre-production stage.

  • After the 24-hour window, no cancellation will be entertained.

  • Cancellations after 24 hours will be chargeable.


Important Notes

  • For fragile products, customers are requested to share an unboxing video in case of damage or defect.

Return & Replacement Policy


Eligibility for Return or Replacement

  • Returns or replacements are allowed only if the product received is:

    • Damaged

    • Defective

    • Different from what was ordered

  • The issue must be reported within 3 days of delivery, along with relevant images or videos.

  • The return or replacement request must be initiated within 7 (seven) days from the date of delivery (“Return Window”).

  • Products that are used, modified, assembled, or damaged after delivery are not eligible.


Condition of Product for Return

  • The product must be in its original, unused condition.

  • It must include:

    • All accessories

    • Manuals

    • Price tags

    • Original packaging

  • Wood in India may request:

    • Visual proof, or

    • Physical inspection by authorized personnel

  • Return or replacement will be initiated only after validation of genuine damage, defect, or incorrect delivery.


Resolution Process & Refund Policy

  • Upon verification, Wood in India may, at its sole discretion:

    • Repair the affected part, or

    • Replace the product or part

  • Refunds are not applicable under this policy.

  • Every accepted return is resolved through repair or replacement to meet quality standards.


Refund Guidelines (If Applicable)

  • All refunds and replacement initiation are subject to pickup of cancelled items from the customer’s premises.

  • Refunds will be initiated within 2–3 days after products are received back at the warehouse.

  • Refunds will be processed via:

    • NEFT

    • Cash

    • Original mode of payment

  • All returns and refunds are processed free of charge, with no deductions.


Warranty Policy


Warranty Coverage

  • Products come with a 24-month warranty covering manufacturing and workmanship defects.

  • Warranty applies to furniture used under normal household conditions.

  • Applicable to products purchased after 25th February 2023.

  • Products purchased before this date are covered under a 1-year warranty.


Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear over time

  • Cuts, scratches, or damage due to:

    • Improper cleaning

    • Accidents or impacts

  • Damage from incorrect installation or assembly by the customer

  • Improper storage, installation, usage, or cleaning

  • Upholstery color fading due to direct sunlight exposure

  • Cracks due to product displacement

  • Wood decay from continuous water exposure

  • Seasonal expansion and contraction of solid wood

  • Natural wood characteristics such as:

    • Joint lines

    • Wood grains

    • Seasonal splits (limited to warranty period)

  • Upholstery fabrics (frame and mechanisms only are covered)

  • Use of harsh chemicals or non-standard dry-cleaning

  • Dimension variations up to 2 inches

  • Unevenness up to 5mm due to floor or surface variations


Warranty Void Conditions

  • Warranty becomes void if the product is relocated from the original delivery location.

  • Warranty is null and void if installation, assembly, or repair is done by unauthorized third parties.
